If your child is most alert in the morning, schedule focused learning activities then, and reserve storytime or outdoor play for the afternoon.
Your routine may look something like this 8:00 AM Breakfast, 9:00 AM Learning Time, 10:00AM Snack and chores, 11:30AM Lunch, 12:30PM Nap/Quiet Time, 2:00PM Free/Outdoor Play
Incorporate activities like nature walks, board games, and hands-on crafts alongside traditional learning to keep your child engaged.
If your child is having an off day, it's okay to skip a planned activity and revisit it later. The goal is to maintain a positive learning environment.
Begin with core activities like reading and math, then slowly introduce additional subjects or extracurricular activities as your child adapts. Begin to introduce science and social studies concepts by asking intentional questions and extensively answering your child's questions.
